ADHD Evaluations For Adults

Clarity, Answers, and a Path Forward

If you’ve been wondering whether ADHD is contributing to your struggles with focus, organization, follow-through, or emotional overwhelm, you’re not alone. Many high-achieving, capable adults silently wrestle with the impacts of undiagnosed ADHD—especially women, people of color, and those who’ve learned to "mask" symptoms over time.

At Serene Solutions Counseling & Consulting Services, we offer comprehensive ADHD evaluations for adults seeking clarity, validation, and next steps for managing their symptoms.

Common Signs of ADHD in Adults:

  • Difficulty focusing, staying organized, or completing tasks

  • Chronic procrastination or missing deadlines

  • Impulsivity or emotional reactivity

  • Feeling overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities

  • Trouble managing time or routines

  • A long-standing sense of “underachieving” despite effort

  • Restlessness or nervous energy, especially in quiet settings

  • Forgetfulness or frequent memory lapses

  • Strained relationships due to inattentiveness, irritability, or impulsive communication

  • Mental fatigue from the constant effort to stay focused or the effects of medication

  • Mood challenges, such as anxiety or depression, which commonly co-occur with ADHD

Why Get an ADHD Evaluation?

An accurate diagnosis can provide relief, self-understanding, and access to the support you need to thrive at home, work, or in school. Whether you’re exploring ADHD for the first time or seeking documentation for accommodations, our evaluations are designed to provide:

  • Clinical insight into your symptoms and functioning

  • A clear diagnostic process rooted in evidence-based tools

  • Recommendations tailored to your lifestyle and needs

Our ADHD Evaluation Process

We use a holistic, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive approach that considers more than just checklists or surface symptoms.

The Evaluation Includes:

  • Clinical Interview (1–2 sessions): Exploring developmental history, current concerns, academic/work functioning, and emotional health

  • Standardized ADHD Assessment Tools: Validated self-report measures that assess inattention, hyperactivity, executive functioning, and emotional regulation

  • Collateral Input (optional): With your consent, input from a partner, close family member, or teacher/employer may be included

  • Screening for Co-occurring Conditions: Ruling out or identifying conditions such as anxiety, depression, or trauma that can mimic or mask ADHD symptoms

  • Written Report: A clear, professionally written report that includes diagnostic findings, DSM-5 criteria, and personalized recommendations for next steps

What You’ll Receive

  • An individualized summary of your strengths and challenges

  • A formal diagnosis (if applicable)

  • Recommendations for treatment, accommodations, coaching, or therapy

  • Documentation for academic/workplace accommodations or referrals for medication support
