Angie Harris, LCSW, MBA, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia; specializing in individual and family therapy. Angie received both her Bachelors and Masters in Social Work from the University of Kentucky; and her MBA from the University of Phoenix.
Angie utilizes a strengths-based, solution-focused approach to therapy. Angie works with each patient to determine their goals and find approaches which will help them to achieve these goals. She helps patients become mindful of how their actions and behaviors impede their outcomes.
Angie specializes in individual and family therapy. She is most experienced in applying cognitive based therapy, EMDR, person-centered therapy, play therapy, and family solutions therapy. She most commonly uses an integrated model of drawing techniques from differing therapeutic interventions in an effort to assist the patient in the most effective way.
Angie has worked with patients with a multitude of mental health conditions including the following: Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, ADHD, Adjustment Disorder, Autism, Substance Abuse, and Reactive Attachment Disorder. She has also worked with a variety of concerns that patients present with such as Grief & Loss, Bullying, Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, Self-Esteem, and difficulties in Family Relationships.
